The objects of the Society are:
(a) To become and remain registered with the Guild.
(b) To further the interests of enrolled students.
(c) To assist new students with orientation to the University.
(d) To encourage and promote cooperation between the Society and other Student societies.
(e) To do all things that are necessary and proper for the benefit and advancement of the Society and the Guild.
(f) To cultivate awareness and understanding of Sikh principles, beliefs, and identity within the university community.
(g) To support students in their journey of self-discovery, offering guidance for inner growth, purpose, and balance during university life.
(h) To protect and promote recognition of Sikh articles of faith (Kakaar) and address related concerns sensitively and assertively.
(i) To respond to the challenges faced by university students such as identity, loneliness, and academic stress through
peer support and value-based connection.
(j) To recognise and respond to material needs such as food insecurity, offering dependable care to all students in need.
(k) To guide international students through their settlement in Australia by providing reliable support for practical, cultural, and emotional adjustment.
(l) To equip students with awareness and tools to navigate digital spaces safely and responsibly.
(m) To nurture confidence and pride in the Punjabi language and Sikh heritage, ensuring they remain accessible to university students.
(n) To connect Sikh historical experiences and teachings with broader global ideas such as justice, equality, and civic
responsibility.
(o) To develop a clear understanding of civic engagement and empower Sikh students to advocate for community
concerns through democratic and informed means.
(p) To affirm the Sikh principle of physical wellbeing.
